When I worked from my home, I need to get dressed and ready or I never settle in for the day. When I was in my twenties and worked even more from my home, I almost had to walk out my door and walk back as if going to my "office." Yes, it does take discipline but recently I realized that everyone that I desire to be like is disciplined. I wish there was an easier way but despite the Staples (?) commercials, there are no easy buttons. Sandy, I hear what you are saying about getting yourself ready first and then heading into the day. I so wanted to say the first thing that popped into my mind about a seamless life but your site is G rated... :) I try to get up in the morning, shower, get dressed and get myself ready for the day before coming downstairs to work and see to mother. If not, I find that half the morning has gone by before I realize it. It takes a little discipline but it is very helpful in getting the day moving seamlessly. I have enough "gotta do it nows" to pop up. I am fairly technology oriented by not quite to your level. I will start a blog one of these days. I blog on a site called multiply -- that's mostly where I say what I have to say! Back to reading your blog now.... I was asked one time how I manage to keep such a clean and organized home. My answer was, "When I see it, I wipe it". When I see things in my home that need a bit of attention, I get at it right away. In this way, the sometimes overwhelming task of keeping a clean home never seems to get out of hand. On my scheduled cleaning days, I certainly go deeper to where the dirt is, but this is my 'seamless' way to keep up my home daily. Love your site! I'm gonna recommend it to ALL my friends! You are such a blessing to those who need to live intentionally! SEE IT – WIPE IT!
